TransNetwork is a dynamic community organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering transgender and gender-expansive individuals. Through our online platforms, including our website at MyTransNetwork.org and our active presence on Facebook and Instagram, we provide a supportive and inclusive space where people of all walks of life can connect, share resources, and access vital information.

We believe in fostering unity and solidarity within the transgender community while also advocating for greater visibility, acceptance, and rights for all gender-diverse individuals. Our mission is to provide a platform for education, advocacy, and celebration, amplifying the voices of transgender and gender non-conforming people to promote understanding and create positive change.

As we prepare to enter this radicalized political era, access to essential, affirming, and lifesaving healthcare for trans individuals is under unprecedented threat.

We anticipate further legislative and regulatory efforts to undermine trans rights and limit access to medical care, counseling, and supportive services.

Now more than ever, our community must come together in solidarity. TransNetwork will remain dedicated to advocating for our rights, supporting those affected, and working alongside allies to ensure that trans individuals receive the healthcare and dignity we all deserve.

We stand firm in our commitment to resilience, compassion, and justice in these challenging times.

but EVERY DAY is a day to be proud of all that we are.

Transgender Awareness Month is a more recent initi

Transgender Awareness Month is a more recent initiative aimed at promoting understanding, visibility, and support for the transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse (TGD) community. Its roots lie in the ongoing efforts within LGBTQ+ and transgender advocacy to address the unique challenges and discrimination faced by transgender people. The month of November was chosen largely because of the significance of the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), held annually on November 20. TDOR was founded in 1999 by trans activist Gwendolyn Ann Smith in memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman murdered in 1998. The day has since become a solemn event to honor victims of anti-transgender violence and reflect on the impact of transphobia.

Over time, organizations and activists began using the weeks around TDOR to raise broader awareness about the transgender community’s struggles, contributions, and experiences, with Transgender Awareness Week (November 13-19) emerging in the early 2000s. Transgender Awareness Month evolved from this as advocates recognized the need for a dedicated, month-long focus on education, visibility, and advocacy for transgender rights. Today, the month offers opportunities for allies and community members alike to engage in events, campaigns, and conversations that support transgender equality and celebrate the diversity within the TGD community.

Due to the unforeseen challenges caused by Hurricane Helene and Milton and the essential preparations for the upcoming national election, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Haute Ghouls House Party originally scheduled for October 25th.

We understand how much excitement and anticipation has been building for this event, and we share in your disappointment. However, we believe that this decision is in the best interest of our community, giving everyone the time they need to recover from the storm and focus on the critical national issues ahead.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and support during this time. Rest assured, we are working hard to reschedule the event and will provide you with the new date as soon as it becomes available.

Although the event has been postponed, your tickets and sponsorship package will remain intact and will be honored for our future event.

Welcome to TransNetwork's first official office!

In this room, we will continue to make good on the promises we have made, to ourselves and our communities, to never stop finding the joy in living our truths, sharing our love, and working to show that together we are stronger.

In the last 18 months we have gotten to know so many of you in very honest and real ways. We've shared the heartbreaks and fear as someone else's Florida tries to deny our humanity and shatter our peace, yet we still stand. Together, we have fought back and gained some ground, but the fight is still nowhere near over and there is still so much work to do.

Stay tuned as we build on what we have already started. Join us in taking back OUR Florida for everyone...

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the over

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the overturning of Judge Hinkle's earlier ruling on trans healthcare in Florida, pending the completion of the state's appeal process. In a 2-1 decision, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta has allowed Florida's restrictive measures on transgender adults and children to remain in place. This includes limiting access to gender-affirming medical care for youth and reinstating the requirement that such care can only be provided by MDs or DOs.

The Associated Press first reported this news on Monday evening.
